Authorities say two South Dakota men were rescued after their snowmobiles apparently ran out of gas in Wyoming.
The Rawlins Times reports that Carbon County Sheriff’s Office says in a news release that 40-year-old Brian Bock and 28-year-old Rory Simonson Jr. were found Monday morning outside Encampment.
The release says officials from Jackson County, Colorado, asked for local police to help find the men. The Colorado authorities say the snowmobilers separated from eight others in their group and were last heard from Saturday afternoon.
Carbon County search and rescue units and a Black Hawk helicopter crew from Cheyenne’s Warren Air Force Base found and rescued the men.
The release says the men had provisions and the ability to make fire. Medical personnel said they were in good health.
